Boutique hotelier Ian Schrager has teamed up with Marriot to create a new hotel brand that will encompass as many as 100 separate hotels located in major cities across the world from New York to London and Tokyo.

The 150 room hotels will be designed to reflect the city they are located in. Schrager has stated that the unifying feature of all the hotels would be their “attitude”.

“Together Marriot and I have a new vision and plan to radically rethink and catapult the lifestyle boutique hotel into the present by capturing the spirit of the times,” said Schrager.

Marriot will overlook the development process that will cover new builds and renovations as well as also managing the properties once they are opened.
