Four Points by Sheraton has announced three new hotel developments in the Asia-Pacific region, including its first hotel in Tibet.

A 93-room hotel in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa is scheduled to open later this year.

A 254-room hotel in the Chinese city of Lianyungang will open in 2009 and a new 405-room resort will be built in Sanya Bay on China’s Hainan Island.

The resort is due to open in 2010.

Operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Four Points by Sheraton began operation in the Asia-Pacific region in 2000.

It currently has six hotels open for business and 11 under development in China, Cambodia and Vietnam.
