An innovative in-room communications systems has been launched in the United Arab Emirates.

Daniel Middle East has partnered with KTV Middle East to launch the DANIEL system, an in-room communication and entertainment package, which operates through an LCD screen without the need for a computer.

DANIEL allows guests access to television channels, on-demand movies, computing applications, social networks, streaming video and internet access.

Daniel ME director of business development Ralph Bishop says the unique concept gives the hospitality sector an opportunity to satisfy guest demand for in-room access without relying on them bringing their own equipment.

“It is important for hotels in the United Arab Emirates to provide guests with reliable and fast internet access, as well as communication, information and entertainment applications so that guests do not have to bring a laptop or leave their room to access these critical services,” Bishop says.

“We are in the process of finalising deals with several high-profile hotels and hotel chains, which have been very enthusiastic about the opportunities for this concept.”
