San Francisco’s InterContinental hotel customers would like to see more iPod docking stations, more spacious workspaces, wall-mounted televisions and reduced clutter in hotel rooms, according to a survey carried out by the hotel.

InterContinental recently surveyed its executive guests to determine what they want from the ‘ultimate’ hotel room. Most guests’ issues were based around technological advancements.

As well as the iPod docking stations, business customers want more electrical outlets and a safe with charging capabilities big enough for large notebook computers .

Ergonomic chairs and desks also featured high on the exec wish list as well as a chair with a foot rest.

InterContinental, according to reports, has been surveying guests in the lead up to room redesigns for its 32-story San Francisco hotel. But don’t expect its designs to be used across the board.

InterContinental says it believes customers have different requirements in different cities, highlighting the need for unique focus groups for each hotel.
