The Grand Hyatt DFW in Dallas, Texas, has introduced two unique programmes to help guests get more out of food and drink options at the hotel.

The iTASTE, a video pod cast available on iPods for hire at the hotel, guides guests through a wine, cheese or chocolate tasting.

The Virtual Menu, available in the hotel’s Grand Met restaurant, allows guests to access detailed menu descriptions, chef recommendations for food and wine parings, and wines taster’s notes and scores.

The two programmes were developed by AVT Communiqué and The Creative Effort, both divisions of Hospitality Partners, a company that provides high-quality in-house services and technology solutions to hotel partners.

Grand Hyatt DFW general manager Michael Stephens says the hotel is the first in the hospitality industry to use this type of technology.

“The iTASTE and The Virtual Menu programmes are part of our ongoing effort to provide guests with an experience that is unlike any other,” he says.
