Business travel growth is expected to continue in 2008, although at a slower rate the US’s National Business Travel Association (NBTA) says.
Reporting in it’s preliminary 2008 US Business Travel Overview & Cost Forecast, based on a survey of 215 NBTA member travel buyers, the NBTA says published hotel rates are expected to increase 5%-7%, and overall travel costs will increase 6%-8%.
NBTA says the top three international destinations with the highest potential for growth in corporate travel are China, the United Kingdom and India.
NBTA members are corporate and government travel and meetings managers who collectively manage more than US$170bn of global business travel annually.
