Visitors to Liverpool who have had a Hard Day’s Night will soon be able to rest their head at the city’s newest Beatle’s themed attraction.
Named after the iconic song, the 110-room, four-star boutique will open in the Beatles Quarter of the city on 1 February, coinciding with the beginning of Liverpool’s tenure as the European Capital of Culture.
The interiors and brand identity of the Grade II listed building, which dates back to 1884, have been designed by Design LSM.
Design LSM creative director Simon McCarthy says the firm worked hard to create a hotel that is about more than just the Beatles.
“As it was such a huge industry, we wanted to include many of those who were involved in the band,” he says.
“The initial idea was not to have an out-and-out theme hotel – we didn’t want it to like a Disneyland.”
The hotel, with two penthouses, two conference rooms, two restaurants, two bars and a wedding chapel, features artwork by Beatles artist Shannon telling the story of the group.
