Two major developments in Dubai are set to add 10,000 hotel rooms to the city by 2015.
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is developing the Dubai Exhibition City (DEC) – an integrated commercial centre and exhibition facility – which will offer three-, four- and five-star accommodation.
Phase one, due to open in 2010, will include 2,500 hotel rooms, building up to 7,500 when all three development phases are completed.
DWTC is also developing the Dubai Trade Centre District (DTCD) – the area surrounding the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre – which includes four major hotels providing 1,150 rooms in phase one, scheduled to open in 2010.
Accommodation in the area will reach 2,500 rooms by 2015.
