Marriott Hotels has introduced its newest lifestyle boutique hotel brand, Edition.
Developers Ian Schrager and JW Marriott Jr say the first properties are expected to open in 2010 and will offer 150 to 200-rooms.
Edition hotels are planned for Paris, Madrid, Costa Rica, Miami, Washington, Chicago and Scottsdale, Arizona, with two planned for Los Angeles.
Schrager is overseeing the concept, design, marketing, branding and food and beverage, while Marriott will oversee the development process and will operate the properties.
