The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has also banned the consumption of alcohol in hotels located within residential zones, saying it breeds crime and criminality, according to local media.

FCT Minister of State Senator John James Akpanudoedehe says hoteliers should be security conscious and that it is their duty to report suspected criminals to the police.

Akpanudoedehe says hoteliers should install CCTV and photograph all guests upon checking in.

He says a list of guest should be made available to security agencies each day.
