Hilton Garden Inn has announced the entrance of the Hilton Family brand into the UK with the opening of Hilton Garden Luton North.
The Luton hotel is the first offering from the mid-priced brand in the UK and is located on Butterfield Business Park, which is close to both central Luton and the local airport.
The hotel will offer 155 guest rooms, a 24-hour business centre, restaurant, bar, living room area, complimentary gym and a 24-hour shop.
The hotel offers business and leisure travellers the group’s signature offerings, including the adjustable Sleep System bed and complimentary Wi-Fi in all guestrooms and public spaces.
Business facilities include a boardroom and ten flexible meeting rooms capable of catering for up to a 100 people at a time.
Hilton senior vice president for brand management Adrian Kurre said it is just the start for the company, with 20 HGI hotels planned acrowss the UK and Ireland within the next five to ten years.
“We are looking forward to injecting new life in to the UK’s mid market hotel sector,” Kurre said.
To commemorate the brand’s entrance into the UK, Hilton Garden Inn will be hosting ‘Gardens In Schools’, a community outreach project first started in the US that will see community schools planting vegetable and flower gardens.
The hotel was built by GB Building Solutions as part of a joint venture with Oxford GB.
