Rayhaan Hotels and Resorts is set to launch an alcohol-free hotel chain this year, offering hotels without bars across the Middle East.

The company claims the chain of four- and five-star hotels will be the first of its kind, with rooms designed to cater for Muslim guests.

The first of the six planned Rayhaan hotels will be in Mekka, Saudi Arabia, due to open in September.

The other five will be in the United Arab Emirates.
