UK budget hotel chain Travelodge has announced plans to open 44 new properties across the UK in 2008, compared with 23 last year.
The chain says the expansion will cost £220m and will add 4,000 rooms to its portfolio.
The group reported an increase in underlying revenues of 30 percent to £55.8m, while overall turnover increased to £243.8m for the year.
