Starwood Hotel and Resorts’ largest brand Sheraton Hotels and Resorts has launched an aggressive expansion and renovation programme across much of its North American portfolio.
Sheraton will spend US$1.3 billion on renovating 50,000 rooms and 100 lobbies, upgrading close to half of its North American portfolio.
The brand will also spend US$400 million on brand initiatives and US$2 billion on opening new hotels.
Sheraton operates 406 properties in 72 countries.
