Accor Hospitality and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) have signed a management agreement for a new hotel development in the Dubai Trade Centre District (DTCD).

Under the terms of the agreement, Accor will manage a new Ibis Hotel within the DTCD, adding an additional 588 rooms for business and leisure travellers in the first quarter of 2011.

The deal builds upon the long-standing relationship between the DWTC and Accor, which saw the 210-room Ibis World Trade Centre hotel introduced in 2003.

The DTCD is an integrated commercial destination spacing currently under Phase One of its construction.

DWTC’s two major commercial destination projects – DTCD and Dubai Exhibition City – will add over 10,000 hotel rooms to the UAE’s overall capacity in the hospitality sector when all phases of both developments are completed.
