Expected to appeal to the Middle Eastern market, construction of the five-star ‘dry’ Coral International Hotel is began earlier this month, Allafrica.com reports.

The R220m building will be complete by the end of next year.

The hotel is designed to appeal to Middle Eastern visitors and businessmen and is being built to the “highest standards with prayer rooms”, marketing firm Pam Golding Properties say.

The luxury hotel will include a fitness centre, meeting rooms, conference facilities and three different restaurants serving halal food.
