Starwood Hotels and Resorts is to open two aloft hotels in Canada.
Quebec’s 136-room aloft Laval is scheduled to open in March 2010.
The aloft Vaughan Mills – which also has 136 rooms – will open in early 2010, in Vaughan, Ontario, in the greater Toronto area.
The aloft brand offers a total sensory experience, with guest rooms featuring nine-foot ceilings and oversized windows to create a bright, airy environment, Starwood says.
Each aloft room is also a combination high-tech office and entertainment center, featuring wireless internet access and plug and play, a one-stop connectivity solution for multiple electronic gadgetry such as PDAs, cell phones, mp3 players and laptops – all linked to a large flat panel LCD television for optimal sound and viewing.
The first aloft hotels are targeted to open in 2008.
