Hotel operator Yotel plans to start the largest hotel in New York, USA, in 2011.
The property will be the first unit opening outside of its current international airport locations and will feature 669 rooms inspired by first-class airline cabins.
Yotel New York will be part of company’s 1.2 million square feet, 60-storey LEED-Silver complex, which will include residential units and the Frank Gehry-designed Signature Theatre.
The flagship property, being co-designed by The Rockwell Group and Softroom, will feature a club lounge and a huge outside terrace space, the company said.
The property will feature 16m² of private space for relaxation, luxury bedding, rejuvenating monsoon rain showers and purple mood lighting with Yotel’s techno wall comprising a flat-screen TV and complimentary WiFi.
Yotel’s partner IFA Hotel’s & Resorts said this is its fourth property to open.
Last year Yotel won the prestigious Business Accommodation of the Year at the Business Travel World Awards.
