Carlson Hotels Unveils Expansion Plan

Carlson Hotel has unveiled its expansion plans in which it intends to add 1,500 hotels to its portfolio by 2015. The hotel's Radisson brand will receive $1.5bn to establish new hotels and to upgrade the existing portfolio in North America, according to the company. Currently,

The hotel’s Radisson brand will receive $1.5bn to establish new hotels and to upgrade the existing portfolio in North America, according to the company.

Currently, the brand has 422 hotels in operation, 90 hotels in the pipeline, and there are plans to increase the brand portfolio to 600 hotels.

The mid-market brand, Country Inn & Suites is looking to expand by an additional 250 hotels in Canada, US, India and Mexico, while another mid-scale brand Park Inn plans to add 54 hotels.
