The Preferred Hotel Group has partnered with Mantis Group to add 14 hotels to its existing portfolio in a bid to expand its footprint in South Africa.

The newest addition will bring Preferred’s total count up to 30 hotels, the company said.

Preferred Hotel Group regional director Jose Ventura said that with the spotlight on South Africa for the World Cup it was important to provide travellers with a variety of holiday experiences now and in the future.

Preferred also added the Cape Royale Luxury Hotel and Residences in Cape Town, and the Devon Valley Hotel and Erinvale Golf Estate Hotel & Spa in the Stellenbosch region.

The Preferred Hotel Group is the largest international hotel brand in South Africa, while Mantis Group is a boutique hotel company.
