Planning consent has been secured by UK-based Frogmore Property for the proposed new 80-room luxury boutique hotel in London, UK, from the London Borough of Islington.

The hotel will be located on the revamped site at 3 and 4 South Place, close to Liverpool Street Station.

D&D signed an agreement with Frogmore in November 2009 to handle the hotel operations on a 35-year lease basis.

The 22,000m² hotel has been designed by Allies and Morrison architects, while its interior is being designed by Conran and Partners.

The hotel will contain luxury bedrooms and suites, private dining and conference facilities, restaurants and bars including a brasserie and bars on the ground floor, and a 7th-floor rooftop restaurant and bar.

Demolition of the existing buildings on the site and construction work will begin later this year, according to hoteldesigns.co.uk.

Construction will be completed in 2012.
