Marriott to Open Two Luxury Hotels in China

Marriott International has signed a management agreement with Tianjin Tianbin Real Estate Development to open two luxury hotels in Tianjin, China this year.

The hotel chain will open the 368-room Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel, which features 2,750m2 of function space including a 1,500m2 ballroom, a 400m2 junior ballroom and three meeting rooms.

The Lakeview, Tianjin–Marriott Executive Apartments will comprise of 96-rooms including fully furnished one, two, and three-bedroom units with all in room amenities.

Apartment residents will also have access to a restaurant and lounge, multi-purpose game room, a children’s playroom and a storage room.

This will be the third Renaissance-branded hotel and first Marriott Executive Apartments property in China and will be housed in the same building in Hexi District, according to chinahospitalitynews.com.

Currently, the Marriott has two hotels in its portfolio in Tianjin, the 280-room Renaissance Tianjin and the 284-room Renaissance Tianjin TEDA.

Marriott plans to open the 400-room Tianjin Marriott in 2013.
