Taj Hotels Unveils New Hotel in South Africa

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has unveiled its new luxury hotel, the Taj Cape Town, in South Africa.

The Rs500m ($68m) hotel is a joint venture between the Indian Hotels Company and Eurocape.

The hotel is housed in the South African Reserve Bank and Board of Executors buildings, which have since been renovated to add 17 new storeys with walk-out balconies.

The hotel now features 177 rooms with 11 different room types, including Heritage rooms, Tower rooms, a two-level presidential suite and a private lounge.

It also features seven meeting rooms and is equipped with a spa, techno gym, heated indoor pool and saunas, according to the company.

The hotel’s dining options include restaurants offering international cuisine and a bar.
