Zuri Unveils Expansion Plans

India-based Zuri Hotels & Resorts has revealed it intends to set up more hotels in India and South Africa. The company will invest Rs400 crore ($90.1m) for a mix of greenfield hotels and management contracts. The company has started construction of a hotel project in Banga

India-based Zuri Hotels & Resorts has revealed it intends to set up more hotels in India and South Africa.

The company will invest Rs400 crore ($90.1m) for a mix of greenfield hotels and management contracts.

The company has started construction of a hotel project in Bangalore, India, while a second project will take place in Nairobi, Kenya. Both hotels will be completed within the next 20 months.

Zuri’s new hotel management arm Zuri Hospitality Management Services has secured properties in the last few months and said it will sign two management contracts within a week.

Zuri’s brand The Retreat will manage the new hotels, which will add another 150 rooms to Zuri’s hotel portfolio.

The company’s management plans to sign five to six management contracts for this year, according to dnaindia.com.
