Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has opened the Shangri-La Hotel, Ningbo in China, marking the completion of all facilities at the hotel.

The 563-room hotel is the company’s 28th property in mainland China and sixth hotel in the Yangtze river delta region.

It features 5,000 square metres of meeting and banqueting space, a 2,000-square metre grand ballroom, a junior ballroom, multi-purpose rooms, a swimming pool, gym and two tennis courts, a 1,000-square metre spa, and signature dining options.

The five-star hotel will be the official host venue for the EXPO 2010 fair running from 1 May to 31 October.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts owns and manages 66 hotels worldwide.
