The company has also removed 36 other off-brand properties because they do not meet the brand’s upgraded standards.

The company plans to add 50 new hotels with over 20,000 rooms in 15 countries to its global portfolio over the next three years as part of its $5bn expansion.

Sheraton owns more than 400 hotels.
