Marriott International has signed management contracts for seven additional hotels in China in a bid to double its presence across the country.

The company expects to have 60 hotels open across six brands this year including eight new Ritz-Carlton hotels.

The seven newly signed hotels are the 320-room JW Marriott Hotel Dalian, the 507-room Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa, the 269-room Renaissance Zhuhai Hotel, 260-room Courtyard by Marriott Fuzhou Hotel, the 265-room Courtyard by Marriott Kunshan, the 350-room Hangzhou Marriott Hotel and the 330-room Shanghai Marriott Hotel Minhang.

Marriott International owns 3,400 lodging properties under the brands Marriott, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Residence Inn, Courtyard and TownePlace Suites
