The CNY2.8bn ($408m) Haikou Millennium Hotel will be built on Hainan Island and will take up 33.5ha, according to Global Times.

The hotel will have 600 to 800 guestrooms and four hectares will be used to house entertainment facilities, shopping centres and office apartments.
