UK hotel prices fell in August with the largest declines seen in the nation’s cities, according to an industry report by Trivago.
The report revealed that the largest decrease in prices, which fell between 13 and 15% from July to August, were seen in Bristol at €97 ($124), Blackpool at €69 ($88) and Newcastle at €92 ($118).
Overnight prices in UK capital London also fell by 10% to €164 ($211) per night.
Edinburgh, however, saw an increase in hotel prices, attributed to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which takes place in August every year.
The report also revealed slight price rises in Dublin, Cannes and Stockholm, according to independent.co.uk.
