Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, a Canada-based five-star hotel management company, will open a new hotel in Shenzhen, China, on 1 September 2013.
The Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen will be the group’s eighth hotel in the country.
Located in the new downtown business district of Futian, the 26-storey hotel is located amidst a metro station, golf club, library, concert hall, shopping malls, office buildings, nature reserves, theme parks, museums and historic sites.
The hotel is designed by Hirsch Bedner & Associates and will feature 266 guestrooms, including 33 suites, all equipped with work desks, multiple international electrical outlets, phone chargers, hi-speed internet access, flat screen TVs with media player, thick plush carpeting and deep soaking tub in some rooms.
The Shenzhen hotel will feature a rooftop multilevel terrace with landscaped greenery and water courtyards, a lobby on the sixth floor, one indoor and one outdoor swimming pool, 24hr fitness centre, yoga and exercise studio, and Spa at Four Seasons with seven treatment rooms.
For business travellers, the hotel will offer 1,800m² of event space, including a Four Seasons Ballroom with 360 seats, five additional meeting spaces for any event to seat 20-200 persons, a 24hr business centre and Executive Club Lounge.
Dining options will include two restaurants – FOO with outdoor deck and waterfall and Zhuo Yue Xuan with ten private dining rooms – and the Yi Bar & Lounge, which will offer tea, cocktails and lunch.
Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen general manager Arthur W.C. Ho said that it is auspicious that the Shenzhen hotel will open in the eighth month of the Chinese calendar, at the time of the Mid Autumn Festival, during which they can celebrate both the harvest and the fruition of the company’s hard work.
"It has been a very busy and exciting time as we build this new hotel and plan for our grand opening, when we may welcome friends, colleagues and guests from around the world to Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen," he added.
