InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) brand Hotel Indigo has announced the opening of its second hotel in Atlanta, US.
The new five-storey, 142-room Hotel Indigo Atlanta Airport College Park is the first hotel to open near the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in two years and is also close to Interstate 85 and Interstate 285.
According to IHG, the hotel is within five miles of the headquarters of Delta Airlines, Chick-fil-A and AirTran Airways, and also to Federal Aviation Administration offices.
Under a license agreement with a company in IHG, the property is owned and managed by College Park Hotels.
Amenities offered by the new hotel include free high-speed wired and wireless internet access in guest rooms and public spaces, a business centre and a fitness centre.
The hotel also offers the BlueGoose Bar and Kitchen, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, and two meeting rooms.
Mary Dogan, brand management director at Hotel Indigo, the Americas, IHG, said the Hotel Indigo is ideal for the location.
"The vibrant and historic design reflects the surrounding community and further spotlights the neighborhood’s cultural and historic charm," Dogan added.
IHG said no two hotels are the same and each Hotel Indigo property has been designed differently to reflect the culture, character and history of the surrounding neighborhood.
The company says that Hotel Indigo is suited for conversion properties or independent boutique hotels.
IHG, which has more than 1,000 hotels in its development pipeline, franchises, leases, manages or owns over 4,500 hotels and more than 661,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories.
