Hyatt Hotels has opened Hyatt Regency Qingdao, its first upscale beachfront hotel in northern China, in Laoshan district of the Shandong province.
Hyatt Regency Qingdao features 439 guestrooms, including 25 suites, a private Regency Club Lounge, a fitness centre and a 25m indoor pool.
The rooms are equipped with 42in LED flat-screen TVs with cable/satellite programming, and offer high-speed broadband and wireless Internet.
The 4,520ft² Chairman Suite includes a master bedroom, dining and entertainment areas, a kitchen, bar, gym and massage room, in addition to a 270° ocean-view rooftop terrace.
The 1,808ft² Presidential Suite features luxurious living areas and a large terrace.
Hyatt Regency Qingdao also features a Chinese restaurant Dong Hai 88 with ten luxurious private dining suites, an all-day buffet restaurant Market Café with interactive open kitchens and a Bay Lounge in the lobby.
Besides serving authentic northern Chinese cuisine, including signature Peking duck and authentic Qingdao seafood specialities, Dong Hai 88 offers a menu of global wines, plus the largest beer selection in Shandong province, with 35 craft beers from around the world.
The hotel offers 19,805ft² of multi-functional event venues for creative programming and coordination, and a Wedding Salon for bridal couples.
Spa-goers can rejuvenate body and soul at Qing, the Hyatt Spa, which features eight private spa suites, four reflexology rooms, a spa consultation room and separate men’s and women’s thermal relaxation facilities.
