A Hyatt Hotels affiliate has signed a management agreement with Hotel De La Paix for the first Hyatt-branded property in Cambodia, the rebranded Hotel De La Paix Siem Reap.

Under the agreement, the hotel will be rebranded as Park Hyatt Siem Reap and close on 30 June 2012 for a complete renovation.

The 107-room hotel is expected to open in the first quarter of 2013.

The hotel will feature two restaurants, a bar, a retail bakery, meeting facilities, a spa, fitness centre, and two swimming pools.

Hyatt said the new hotel will support the company’s aim to expand the presence of Hyatt-branded hotels in the markets that its guests are visiting.

Currently there are 12 Hyatt-branded properties in South-East Asia and new hotels are planned in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Busan, South Korea; and Bangkok, Thailand.

Hotel De La Paix is an affiliate of KS Hotels and Resorts, which owns Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Hotel De La Paix properties in Thailand and Laos and three Nagas in Luangprabang, Laos.
