Marriott Executive Apartments opens second hotel in Latin America

Marriott International has announced the opening of its second Marriott Executive Apartments (MEA) hotel in Latin America, the MEA Panama City, Finisterre in Panama City, Panama.

Marriott International has announced the opening of its second Marriott Executive Apartments (MEA) hotel in Latin America, the MEA Panama City, Finisterre in Panama City, Panama.

The 126-room MEA Panama City, Finisterre will provide guests with access to room service and a restaurant with a capacity for 80 guests as well as a lobby bar.

The MEA Panama Studio Apartment DoubleEach unit offers executive office space and is furnished with hardwood floors, modern furniture and new bedding.

Guest rooms also include a 32in LCD cable TV, an alarm clock with iPod docking station, safety deposit boxes with space for laptops and a thermo-acoustic window system.

According to Marriott, the property also provides a self-service laundry room on each floor, on-site storage and indoor parking with space for 150 vehicles.

The new property’s facilities include four meeting rooms measuring a combined total of 394m² and an outdoor swimming pool.

MEA vice president of brand management Loren Nalewanski said the executive apartments have been designed for extended stay travellers and offer the convenience of a five-star, full-service hotel with the space, ambience and privacy of residential living.

Currently Marriott International is represented in Panama by the 388-room Panama City Marriott, the 248-room Courtyard Panama Real Hotel and the recently opened 120-room Courtyard Panama Metro Mall.

The 180-room Casamar Marriott Panama Resort is expected to be opened on Panama’s Pacific coast in 2013, Marriott said.
