Overland Park Marriott has announced the addition of Wi-Fi connectivity from Guest-tek to its guest rooms, public areas and Kansas City meeting spaces.
According to the US-based company, the Wi-Fi enhancements were part of its recent $20m refurbishments, and the connectivity is available free of charge in the hotel’s public areas, as well as in the 10,000ft² meeting space.
Each of the 18 individual meeting rooms of the hotel also feature wired connections, besides Wi-Fi.
Guest-tek, the new broadband provider for the hotel, allows guests to use up to 50mbs of total bandwidth.
Wi-Fi connections are available in all Kansas City hotel rooms with various features for a daily rate of $12.95, said the hotel.
Each room features high-speed wireless internet access for casual web browsing, checking email, downloading files and staying connected with family and friends, and also unlimited local phone calls and long distance calls.
The Overland Park Marriott offers new guest rooms accommodated with connectivity panels, flat-screen TVs and granite bathrooms.
The renovated Overland Park convention centre features pre-function meeting spaces, a ballroom and a range of event options.
Catering to both business and leisure guests, the hotel also offers restaurants, a lounge and sushi bar, as well as Marriott’s newest $3.5m M.I. Greatroom lobby.
