Sofitel’s Bangkok hotel to open in April

French brand Sofitel has announced that its new Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel is currently in its final stages of opening preparation, with the opening scheduled for April 2012.

According to Sofitel, the 32-storey, 345-room Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel is the latest South-East Asia flagship for Sofitel Luxury Hotels.

The new property will offer meetings and function facilities with Le Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 800 guests.

The meeting facilities on the third floor are the hallmark of the company’s InspiredMeetings concept, offering a modern atmosphere.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has a swimming pool with pool bar, a fitness centre, a beauty salon, Le Spa with L’Occitane, six restaurants and a rooftop bar.

The hotel, designed by New York-based architectural firm BBG-BBGM, caters to the requirements of upscale business and leisure travellers.

Sofitel Bangkok’s interior design presents a mix of contemporary French and Thai designs, covering over 50,000m² of space.
