Wyndham Hotel Group has added the Wyndham Grand Playa Blanca, located on the Pacific coast in Panama’s Coclé Province, to its Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand in Panama.
The 220-room resort property, which becomes the third Wyndham hotel in Panama, is owned by Casa de Campo Farallon and operated by RG Hotels.
Wyndham Hotel Group Latin America senior vice president and managing director Daniel del Olmo said the addition of the new property to the company’s portfolio highlights its mission to develop Wyndham Hotel Group brands in key locations in the region.
"Rapidly emerging business opportunities coupled with attractive beaches and cultural destinations have positioned Panama for exceptional growth in the hotel and travel industry," Olmo said.
According to the company, the Wyndham Grand Playa Blanca joins its sister properties Veneto – A Wyndham Grand Hotel and Wyndham Garden Panama City, both located in Panama City.
Wyndham Grand Playa Blanca is part of the Wyndham Grand Collection, and its opening strengthens the group’s presence in Latin America, which at present comprises over 90 properties and more than 10,000 rooms in 13 countries throughout the region.
The Wyndham Grand Playa Blanca provides guests with non-motorised sports, entertainment and recreational activities, three pools, a fitness centre, five restaurants and bars, among other facilities.
Guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, wireless internet access, 32in LCD flat-screen televisions, in-room refrigerators and laptop-sized safes.
The Wyndham Grand Playa Blanca has over 7,500ft² of indoor and outdoor event space with a capacity to accommodate up to 600 guests.
