Xi’an Haoxianglai selects Wyndham to manage hotel in China

Xi’an Haoxianglai Investment Holding has selected Wyndham Hotel Group to manage the Wyndham Grand Xi’an South, a new hotel under construction in Xi'an, the capital of the Chinese province of Shaanxi.

Xi’an Haoxianglai Investment Holding has selected Wyndham Hotel Group to manage the Wyndham Grand Xi’an South, a new hotel under construction in Xi’an, the capital of the Chinese province of Shaanxi.

The new 565-room hotel will join Wyndham Hotels and Resorts under the Wyndham Grand Collection brand.

Scheduled to open in December 2014, the property will include 38 suites and one presidential suite, a spa, health and fitness area and meeting space for business travellers and events.

The Wyndham Grand Xi’an South, which will also offer amenities including three restaurants, will be part of a high-end commercial development in South Yuanta Road.

According to Wyndham, the new property is set to strengthen the company’s presence in China and will add to the group’s 422 hotels already in operation and the 47 properties currently under development in China.

The signing will also expand Wyndham’s hotel portfolio in the Asia Pacific region, which currently consists of 490 properties and 68,602 rooms under the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Super 8, Microtel Inns & Suites and Dream brands.

Wyndham Hotel Group president and managing director of Asia Pacific Ken Greene said China will continue to be an important market for the company and the expansion of its brands.

Wyndham Hotel Group, part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies, has 7,205 hotels and about 613,000 rooms in 66 countries under 15 hotel brands.
