Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, will add a new hotel to its Wyndham Grand Collection portfolio in the US.
The 712-room Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown will become the second Wyndham property in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The 24-storey luxury hotel is owned by entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr Kiran Patel and is managed by Dallas-based Prism Hotels and Resorts.
The hotel features 712 guestrooms, including 43 suites, and offers 3,716m² of function space, a restaurant, a bar, a renovated cocktail lounge, a business centre and a health centre.
The property recently completed a $30m interior renovation, which updated all guestrooms and bathrooms.
A second phase of renovations, currently underway, includes a spa and indoor pool, a conference space, an expanded fitness centre and a redesigned building facade.
Renovations are expected to be complete by 2011.
