Rezidor Hotel Group has increased its portfolio in the Romanian capital of Bucharest to 718 rooms.
The hotel group signed an agreement to manage 294 apartments adjacent to its 424-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest, which opened in 2008.
Rezidor co-owns the apartments with SC Bucuresti Turism and will rebrand 62 of the apartments in December 2010 and the remaining units in early 2011.
“Capital cities and further primary locations in Eastern Europe are an important development market for our contemporary brand Radisson Blu,” said Rezidor president and CEO Kurt Pitter. “We are delighted to extend our trustful cooperation with SC Bucuresti Turism and to strengthen our presence in Bucharest.”
The group operates 400 hotels and has 86,300 rooms under development in 60 countries.
