The $3.9bn Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has opened on Las Vegas Strip, US.

The hotel, which is owned by Germany’s Deutsche Bank, includes a 9,290m² casino, 12 restaurants and 2,000 hotel rooms, with a further 987 scheduled to open in 2011.

The hotel also features a nightclub, three pools, a spa and 45,720m² of meeting space.

The rooms, designed by interior architect David Rockwell, offer views of the strip and most feature terrace balconies.

The hotel, which is located between the Bellagio and CityCenter, was saved from bankruptcy by Deutsche Bank after the developer dropped out of the project.
