Rotana is to open seven hotels in the UAE and Qatar this year as part of its plans to expand in the Middle East.

The group, which manages 41 hotels across the region, plans to open six more hotels in three UAE emirates and one in the Qatar capital Doha this year, comprising 2,500 rooms.

Three of the openings this year will be under Rotana’s Centro brand, and the new properties include one at Sharjah Airport with the other two will be in Abu Dhabi.

The hotel group will also open its Capital Centre hotel in Abu Dhabi this year, as well as a 621-room property in Dubai under its alcohol-free Rayhaan brand, and a hotel in Al Ain, according to thenational.ae.

In addition, the hotel group plans to open more hotels in Oman, Syria, Bahrain and Jordan.
