The second stage of hotel classification initiated by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in Saudi Arabia has been completed.
The classification process categorised 13 of 147 hotels as five-star properties in Makkah.
According to the new classification, there are eight four-star, 62 three-star and 64 two-star hotels in the cities of Makkah and Madina.
The new classification will help to improve hotel services in the cities to international standards and ensure a balance in terms of services for pilgrims and investors.
