Rotana has opened its first hotel property in the city of Erbil in Kurdistan, Iraq.

The 201-room hotel is owned by the Beirut-based Malia Group and is managed by Rotana.

Erbil Rotana is built on a 20,000m² plot featuring 1,200m² of facilities including a ballroom, three conference and banquet venues and six restaurants.

The hotel will also have a fitness centre, a Jacuzzi, steam rooms, a sauna, an outdoor temperature-controlled swimming pool and massage treatment rooms.

The hotel management group manages a portfolio of over 70 properties throughout the Middle East and Africa under Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Centro Hotels, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts and Arjaan Hotel Apartments.
