Zinc InVision, a joint venture of Thailand’s InVision Hospitality and Singapore investment firm Cinnovation, is to develop 28 hotels across the Middle East by 2020.

The expansion is part of the joint venture’s $180m investment plan to expand its brand in the Middle East, North Africa and South East Asia.

The growth will be financed in part by Z-I Capital Partners, which is the investment fund set up by Zinc InVision Hospitality partners.

Zinc InVision is to build its first hotel, Zinc Edge, in Jebel Ali, UAE, by 2014, according to www.hoteliermiddleeast.com.

In addition, it will launch its first hotel in Dubai by 2012, as well as two hotels in Qatar, three in Saudi Arabia, two in Bahrain, one in Lebanon, two in Oman, four in Egypt, two in Syria and four in Morocco.
