Hilton has opened a Doubletree hotel near Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The hotel group is planning a $3m renovation for the 248-room hotel.

The property features a fitness centre, a seasonal, outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool and 1, 114m7#178; of meeting space.

Hilton Worldwide has 3,700 hotels and 610,000 rooms in 82 countries.
