IHG has appointed Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) interior design students to design three of its new Staybridge Suites hotels – Staybridge Suites Tyler University Area in Texas, Staybridge Suites San Antonio Stone Oak and Staybridge Suites Syracuse Liverpool.
The new properties will feature the Vista design scheme and use recyclable and non-toxic materials to reduce their impact on the environment.
Staybridge Suites San Antonio Stone Oak, a $20m development, is scheduled to open in April 2011. It will feature 135 rooms and a 929m² deck with a heated pool and a Jacuzzi.
The property will be owned by Montex Real Estate and managed by Dellisart under a licence agreement with an InterContinental Hotels Group company.
The five-storey Staybridge Suites Syracuse Liverpool will open in April 2011. It offers 123 suites, including 41 one-bedroom and 20 two-bedroom suites and 2,787m² of meeting space.
The hotel will be owned by First Republic of America and managed by Advanced Hotel Management.
The three-storey, 86-room Staybridge Suites Tyler University Area opened in January 2011. It features an indoor pool and an outdoor space with covered a pavilion area, a 204m² meeting area and a furnished courtyard.
The hotel is owned by Loop 323 Lodging and managed by 281 Management under IHG.
