US-based hotel management company Interstate Hotels & Resorts has assumed the management of 30 premium-brand, select-service and extended-stay hotels effective from 1 April 2011.

The properties, which comprise 4,060 rooms spread across 12 US states, will continue to be owned by affiliates of Inland American Real Estate Trust.

Interstate already manages 12 Inland American hotels. With the new addition, its global hotel portfolio will increase to 337 properties with 62,000 rooms.

The new hotels are located primarily in major secondary / suburban markets, and will be managed by Interstate’s Crossroads Division.
