Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Cape Town property, the chain’s third hotel in South Africa.

The 137-room Hilton Cape Town City Centre underwent a four-month transformation process, which included training a team in Hilton-brand service standards, technology platforms and operations.

Changes in the food and beverage outlets and the lobby are also underway.

The hotel features 102 guestrooms, 20 executive rooms, seven one-bedroom suites and eight two-bedroom suites, two restaurants, a boutique chocolatier, a business centre, an executive boardroom and eight meeting rooms, a swimming pool and bar, a fitness centre, a sauna and a steam room.

The brand will open two other hotels in South Africa – Hilton Sandton and Hilton Durban.

The company has 27 hotels across Africa with another 13 in development.
