Starwood Unveils Canadian Expansion

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is to add new properties to its Canadian portfolio and in 2011 will open its 60th hotel in the country. Later this year, the hotel group will unveil the 154-room Four Points Sheraton Edmonton Gateway, which will raise Starwood's brand portfolio in the coun

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is to add new properties to its Canadian portfolio and in 2011 will open its 60th hotel in the country.

Later this year, the hotel group will unveil the 154-room Four Points Sheraton Edmonton Gateway, which will raise Starwood’s brand portfolio in the country to 24 hotels.

In 2014, Starwood will debut its eco-boutique Element brand with the 169-room Element Vancouver Metrotown.

Starwood also plans to open two Aloft-branded hotels, Aloft Vaughan Mills and Aloft Calgary University.
